In addition to those seeking peace and quiet, hikers, cyclists and skiers will also get their money's worth. In summer hiking and biking tours can be undertaken; in winter the skiing area Gitschberg Jochtal can be reached by car in about 10 min - there is also a toboggan run.
In about 15 min you can reach the village Weitental and in about 20 min Vintl; here you can do various shopping.
In about 45 min you can reach the cities of Bressanone and Brunico; here you can find many shopping opportunities, culinary delights and various leisure activities such as a climbing park or swimming pools. Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol can be reached in about 1.5 hours; here too there is much to experience. There are also many cultural experiences to be had, for example in the Ötzi Museum.
